The Weight Loss Cure They Don’t Want You To Know About

By admin | August 4, 2008

When it comes to health and weight loss, you need to be careful. There is a lot of bad information out there and a lot of people looking to make a quick buck off your desire to get healthy and fit.

Kevin Trudeau, author of “Natural Cures They Don’t Want You To Know About” and “The Weight Loss Cure They Don’t Want You To Know About”, is in legal trouble. Again.

I read Natural Cures. I thought it was a joke. While I agree with Trudeau’s idea that a lot of what ails us can be fixed with natural cures, he doesn’t deliver on his infomercial promises.

Apparently, that same thing has gotten him in trouble with the loss over his latest book, ‘The Weight Loss Cure They Don’t Want You To Know About.’

The Federal Trade Commission is going after Trudeau for his deceptive infomercials regarding this book.

While Trudeau promotes his book by saying that people can do this easily and that you can eat whatever you want, buyers of the book are finding out the opposite is true.

The FTC alleged that consumers discover it “requires severe dieting,” daily injections of a prescription drug not approved by the Food and Drug Administration for weight loss and “lifelong dietary restrictions.”

The FTC first sued Trudeau in 1998, charging that he made false and unsubstantiated claims in infomercials for hair growth, memory and weight-loss products.

In 2003, the agency sued Trudeau for deceptively marketing a calcium product as a cancer cure and a product called Biotape as a pain reliever.

Buyer beware is very true when it comes to health and weight loss products of any kind.
